NOTN - New Year's Eve nails

     Hello, ladies.

     One more day and we’re gonna say “buh bye” to 2012 and “welcome” to 2013. Maybe it’s time to think about what we’ve achieve this year and what we didn’t or couldn’t do, make plans and resolutions for 2013 and so on. Or at least this is what I’ll do in the next few days.

     But ‘till then I’m thinking about New Year’s Eve and how I’m gonna spend that night. Although I’m staying home, it doesn’t mean that I won’t wear a nice dress, wear makeup or do my nails. And speaking of the “devil”: today’s post is New Year’s Eve manicure.

     Inca o zi si ii vom spune “la revedere” acestui an, urmand sa-I uram “bun venit” lui 2013. Probabil ca ar fi timpul sa punem in balanta tot ce s-a intamplat in 2012, sa ne facem planuri si rezolutii pentru anul ce va sa vina s.a.m.d. Sau cel putin eu asta voi face, in zilele ce vor urma.

     Insa pana atunci ma gandesc la noaptea dintre ani, la cum voi petrece Revelionul. Desi voi sta acasa, asta nu inseamna ca n-am sa ma imbrac frumos, n-am sa ma machiez si nu-mi voi face unghiile. Iar cu asta ajungem la postarea de azi: manichiura pentru Revelion.

     A few days ago I bought two Essence Colour&Change nail polishes, and I’m planning to wear one of them on New Year’s Eve. I did my nails today so I could show you the manicure and, maybe, to inspire you.

     Let’s talk a little about Colour&Change. I bought two of the four abailable nail polishes (01 wonderlicious green and 04 unexpected galaxy) and a special top coat, used to creat different patterns on the nails (magic effect designer step 2). The nail polishes are metallic, really opaque and it covers the nails perfectly with only one coat.

     01 wonderlicious green is a pale blue-green-ish nail polish, but after you apply the top coat it turns blue. 04 unexpected galaxy is a grey-purple-ish nail polish, which turns into a bright purple after applying the top coat.

     De curand mi-am cumparat doua oje Colour&Change de la Essence, iar pe una dintre ele o voi purta pe unghii in noaptea dintre ani. Manichiura mi-am facut-o de pe acum, asa ca vi-o pot arata si voua, poate va dau o idee.

     Sa va vorbesc putin despre Colour&Change. Mi-am cumparat doua oje, din cele patru culori disponibile, (01 wonderlicious green si 04 unexpected galaxy) si un top coat, care se foloseste pentru a crea diverse desene pe unghie (magic effect designer step 2). Ojele sunt metalice, foarte opace si acopera perfect unghia dintr-un singur strat.

     01 wonderlicious green are, la baza, o nuanta de verde-albastrui pal, insa dupa aplicarea top coat-ului oja devine albastra. 04 unexpected galaxy este un gri cu o usoara tenta mov, care devine cu adevarat mov dupa aplicarea top coat-ului.

     Speaking of which, I noticed that actually the nail polish are the “magical” ones, and not the “magic effect designer step 2” top coat. I tried a range of other top coats, from Essence or P2, with or without glitter, and they all make the Colour&Change nail polish to change its colour. And that is why Essence doesn’t recommend to apply a top coat after you draw a pattern.

     The nail polishes were 2 or 2.5 euros and I like them, therefore I’m gonna buy the other two nail polishes too.

     Ca tot vorbim despre asta, am observat ca de fapt ojele sunt cele “magice” si nu top coat-ul recomandat pentru a fi folosit impreuna cu ele. Am incercat alte top coat-uri, de la Essence si P2, cu sclipici sau fara, iar oja tot isi schimba culoarea. Tocmai de aceea cei de la Essence recomanda sa nu folositi un top coat dupa ce ati facut modelul.

     Ojele m-au costat vreo 2 sau 2.5 euro, nu mai stiu exact si-mi plac tare mult, motiv pentru care planuiesc sa-mi iau si celelalte doua nuante.

     And now let me show the manicure. It’s simple, but cute, and the pictures would’ve been much better if I would've taken them in day light. Anyway, I hope you’ll like my nails. Btw, on my thumb nail I used Essence "10 more than silver" nail art glitter to create somekind of fireworks. What can I see, I'm not good when it comes to drawing.

     Iar acum sa va arat manichiura. Este simpla, dar draguta, iar pozele ar fi aratat mult mai bine daca le-as fi facut la lumina naturala. Sper sa va placa. Apropo, pe unghia de la degetul mare am folosit Essence "10 more than silver" nail art glitter pentru a crea un fel de artificii. Ce pot sa spun, desenul nu e punctul meu forte :D.
