Review Sleek "Olympic" Collection - I give you Glory, Honour and Pride

     Hello, ladies.

     This year, London is hosting the 30^th edition of the Olympic Games. It’s a proud moment for the british capital, because it’s the first modern town which hosts fot the third time the O.G.

     Sleek Makeup wanted to celebrate this huge event in its own way: releasing a beautiful limited collection, which has a palette, a blush and a pout polish.

     Since it’s a L.E., I couldn’t let it slip through my fingers so I bought as soon as I found out about it. I’ve tested the products and today I’m gonna talk to you about them.

     Anul acesta, Londra gazduieste cea de-a 30-a editie a Jocurilor Olimpice. Un motiv de mandrie pentru capitala britanica, caci este primul oras din istoria moderna care gazduieste pentru a treia oara J.O.

     Cei de la Sleek nu au vrut sa treaca un eveniment de o asemenea anvergura, asa ca il sarbatoresc in stilul propriu: au lansat o colectie limitata absolut minunata, compusa dintr-o paleta, un blush si un pout polish.
      Cum este vorba de o colectie limitata, nu o puteam lasa sa-mi scape printre degete, asa ca m-am grabit si am achizitionat toate cele trei produse. Le-am testat, iar astazi va vorbesc despre ele.

                                       Glory palette

     The palette has 12 eyeshadows, two mattes and 10 with a metallic or pearly finish. The eyeshadows are really creamy and soft when you touch them, very pigmented and they blend really well. Actually, I cand honestly say that these are the most pigmented eyeshadows from all the Sleek palettes I have. The colors are intense applied directly on bare skin, without any base. The only one who’s not pigmented is the matte grey – “Platform” which, unfortunately, doesn’t look much different applied on a base.

     These are by far the best Sleek eyeshadows I ever had.

     The eyeshadows are not chalky, except for the “Platform” (again).

     Paleta are 12 farduri, doua mate si 10 cu finish metalic sau satinat. Fardurile sunt foarte cremoase, catifelate la atingere, extrem de pigmentate si se blenduiesc foarte usor. De fapt, pot spune ca sunt cele mai pigmentate farduri din toate paletele Sleek pe care le detin. Nuantele sunt intense aplicate direct pe piele, fara niciun fel de baza, singura exceptie fiind nuanta mata de gri – “Platfom” pe numele ei. Din pacate, nu exceleaza nici cand este aplicata peste o baza, insa este acest gri este singurul minus al intregii palete.

     De departe, sunt cele mai bune farduri de la Sleek pe care le-am incercat vreodata.

     Fardurile nu sunt aproape deloc prafoase, exceptie fiind (din nou) “Platform”.

    In the palette they seem like nothing much, but once you applied them on the eyelid the colors come to life, they vibrate, they put you in a good mood. These are the perfect colors for summer time, and the looks with them are numerous.

     In paleta nu par speciale, insa odata aplicate pe piele culorile prin viata, vibreaza, te binedispun instant. Sunt culori perfecte pentru timpul verii, iar look-urile ce pot fi realizate folosind “Glory” sunt nenumarate.

     The first three shades from the top row, from left to right, are the three medals offered at the O.G.: gold, silver and bronze – “Tube”, “Overground” and “Bakerloo”.

““District”, “Picadilly”, “Circle”, “Northern” and “Central” are the colors of the five olympic circles.

     Primele trei farduri din randul de sus, de la stanga la dreapta, reprezinta cele trei medalii oferite la J.O.: aur, argint si bronz – “Tube”, “Overground” si “Bakerloo”.

“District”, “Picadilly”, “Circle”, “Northern” si “Central” sunt culorile celor cinci Cercuri Olimpice. 

     Through this palette Sleek not only celebrates the O.G., but London itself. In case you didn’t know, the eyeshadow names match the Tube lines in London. Even more, each represents the colour of a Tube line.

     Prin aceasta paleta, Sleek nu celebreaza doar Jocurile Olimpice, ci pe Londra insasi. In caz ca nu stiati, fiecare fard poarta denumirea cate unei statii de metrou din Londra. Si mai mult decat atat, fiecare reprezinta culoarea liniei de metrou. 

     Another thing that makes this palette special is the variety of the colours: most of the Sleek palettes have only nudes, or darks, or neons, or brights. But “Glory” managed to gather in 12 eyeshadows bright and nude colors. Actually, I would say that the top row is all about nudes, and the second row has the bright ones.

     Un alt lucru care face aceasta speciala este varietatea de culori: in majoritatea paletelor Sleek avea fie nuante neutre, fie inchise, fie neon, fie puternice. Insa “Glory” a reusit sa adune in 12 farduri atat nuante nude, cat si puternice. De fapt, as cataloga randul de sus ca fiind farduri neutre, iar pe cele de jos puternice.

                                  Honour blush

     This blush has a copper color, with barely there gold shimmer. It’s creamy, it’s not chalky and highly pigmented. It blends really easy, has a bronze finish with a light gold shimmer.

     Unfortunately, the brown undertone doesn’t make it suitable for pale skin, ‘cause it can look muddy. I think it’s better to use it as a contour. But since it’s summer and most of us are tanned, I think it’s perfect fot his time of year.

     Fardul de obraz este de culoarea cuprului, cu subtile irizatii aurii. Este cremos, deloc prafos si este extrem de pigmentat. Blush-ul se blenduieste foarte usor, are un finish “bronzuliu” (n-am gasit alt cuvant, va jur), cu o usoara tenta aurie.

     Din pacate, subtonul maroniu nu-l face cel mai potrivit blush pentru persoanele cu tenul deschis la culoare, caci poate arata murdar pe fata. Il consider mai potrivit pentru contouring. Insa cum este perioada verii si majoritatea suntem bronzate, este perfect pentru a fi folosit in aceasta perioada a anului.

                                 Pride pout polish

     This is a tinted lip balm / potted gloss.

     It’s a pretty pigmented color and kinda hard to describe: it looks like a burgundy with a light copper shade. Please note the gold, bronze and purple (I think) shimmer. Like the blush, it’s suitable for medium / dark skin.

     Pride it’s an emolient lip balm, not greasy and it has 15 SPF. The smell is delicious, since it combines cocoa, cocoa nut and vanilla. But once applied on the lips, the smell is less obvious.

     Acest produs este un balsam de buze colorat / gloss “la borcanel”.

     Este o nuanta destul de pigmentata si cam greu de descris: pare a fi un burgundy cu o usoara nuanta de cupru. Notabile sunt si irizatiile subtile de auriu, bronz si, parca, mov (asa vad eu). La fel ca si blush-ul, este un produs potrivit pentru persoanele cu tenul mediu / inchis, deloc indicat celor cu pielea deschisa la culoare.

     Pride este un balsam de buze emolient, fara a fi gras si are SPF 15. Mirosul este foarte delicios, avand iz de cacao, nuca de cocos si vanilie. Insa odata aplicat pe buze, mirosul devine mai putin pregnant.

     Bottom line, I so love this products and I don’t regret spending my money on them.

     In concluzie, mie-mi plac la nebunie toate cele trei produse, nu regret nicio clipa ca mi le-am achizitionat.
