Review - L'Oreal Hydra Active 3 makeup remover and facial cream / L'Oreal Triple Active Day demachiant si crema de fata

     Hello, ladies.

     You know well my philosophy: “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it”. Or to put it like this, when I find a product that fully satisfies me, rarely I “trade” him for something else. On the other hand, I can’t resist the temptation to try something else, partly because of my curiosity and partly because I’m trying to review as many products as possible, for you, girls.

     During the cold months, my skin is really dry and dehydrated, so last winter I “treated” it with “Dor de apa”, a really great facial cream from Spa Rustica (review HERE). This cream was almost perfect for me: it’s not as a makeup base (in the meantime, they changed it’s formula, so now it’s perfect :) ).

     Therefore, I started searching a new facial cream that I could use as a makeup base and I chose L’Oreal Hydra Active 3. In order to have an (almost) complete kit, I also bought the makeup remover from the same range.

     So today I’m gonna talk to you about the L’Oreal Hydra Active 3 facial cream and the makeup remover for dry and sensitive skin.

     Voi stiti bine folosofia mea: “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it”. Cu alte cuvinte, atunci cand un produs imi place si ma satisface pe deplin, extrem de rar il “abandonez” in favoarea altuia. Pe de alta parte, nu pot sa nu testez alte produse, atat pentru ca sunt “impinsa” de curiozitatea feminina, cat si pentru ca incerc sa fac cat mai multe review-uri pentru voi.

     Iarna, tenul meu devine extrem de uscat si deshidratat, astfel ca in perioada rece ce s-a incheiat relativ recent l-am “tratat” cu “Dor de apa” de la Spa Rustica (review AICI).  O crema care m-a multumit pe deplin, cu o mica exceptie: nu era buna ca baza pentru machiaj (intre timp i-au schimbat formula :) ).

     Astfel, am pornit in cautarea unei crème pe care sa o pot folosi ca baza pentru machiaj si m-am “oprit” la L’Oreal Hydra Active 3. Iar pentru a avea un set (aproape) complet, am cumparat si demachiantul din aceeasi gama.

Asa ca astazi va voi vorbi despre crema de fata si demachiantul L’Oreal Hydra Active 3, pentru ten foarte uscat si sensibil.

                   Facial Cream / Crema de fata

     Their opinion / Ce spun ei:

     “Every day the skin is under attack from UV rays, free radicals and pollution which can cause signs of skin ageing. Skin can be left feeling dehydrated and more fragile.

     L’Oréal introduces Triple Active Day Moisturiser with 3 actions:
1) Long-lasting hydration: the skin’s ability to retain water throughout the day is improved

2) Protection: helps reinforce skin’s natural protection against free radicals and the harmful effects of the sun.

     Immediate results:
      Skin is intensely hydrated and feels soft and comfortable. It looks more radiant.”

     

     “Pielea este supusă diverselor agresiuni în fiecare zi: razele UV, stresul şi poluarea.
      Tot atâţia factori care pot să genereze radicali liberi responsabili pentru îmbătrânirea prematură a pielii, pierderea strălucirii şi slăbirea barierei cutanate, favorizează deshidratarea.

    My opinion / Ce spun eu: 

     There’s not much to say about this cream, because I only used it twice. When I saw it in the store, it looked familiar to me, but I thought maybe I saw it and one of my bff’s, so I bought it. In that moment I should’ve cursed my short memory, because I’ve forgotten that I used it before and hated it.

     I arrived at home, removed my makeup / applied toner / facial lotion / thermal water and started applying my new cream. I merely applied it on my face, when I felt some residues on my face, like small “lumps” or “lints”, as seen in the picture below.

     Ei bine, n-am prea multe de spus pentru ca nu am apucat sa o folosesc decat de doua ori. Atunci cand am vazut-o in magazin, imi parea cunoscuta, dar m-am gandit ca poate am mai vazut-o la o prietena, asa ca am cumparat-o linistita. In acel moment ar fi trebuit sa-mi blestem memoria scurta, pentru eu uitasem ca o mai folosisem cu niste ani in urma si nu-mi placuse.

     Am ajuns acasa, m-am demachiat / aplicat toner / lotiune Doina / apa termala si apoi am trecut la crema. Nici n-am apucat sa o intind bine pe fata, caci am simtit cum crema face numai “scamite”, asa cum vedeti in poza de mai jos.

     The next day, I used it as a makeup base, but I encountered the same problem and you don’t wanna know how horrible the foundation looked on my face. A had to remove my makeup and apply a BB Cream as a makeup base.

     A doua zi, am folosit-o ca baza de machiaj, insa a aparut aceeasi problema si nici nu cred ca va inchipuiti in ce hal putea sa arate fondul de ten pe fata mea. A trebuit sa ma demachiez si sa aplic drept baza de machiaj un BB Cream.

     I tried it again that evening, giving the products more time to be absorbed by my skin. I had the same result, which disappointed me.

     Seara am incercat-o din nou, de aceasta data oferind mai mult timp produselor, gandindu-ma ca poate trebuie sa fie absorbite de piele mai repede. Ei bine, am avut acelasi rezultat, spre dezamagirea mea.

     Except for this unplesant aspect, I noticed that this cream really does it’s job: hydrated my skin, leaving it soft and smooth and I didn’t had any unplesant reaction (rashes, pimples etc).

     Trecand peste acest aspect extrem de neplacut, am observat ca aceasta crema chiar isi face treaba: mi-a hidratat tenul foarte bine, l-a lasat moale si catifelat si n-am avut nicio reactie dubioasa (cosuri, iritatii etc).

     Basically, I liked the cream, but I can’t explain why it leaves those “lumps” on my face. Anyway, I had to put it aside, first of all because it’s summer and now I have combination / oily skin, and second because I can’t stand those “lumps”. So for the moment it sits in my drawer, wainting… I don’t for a new owner.

     I like it’s smell – it’s almost identical with the one of the creams our mothers used when we were little and has the consistency of mayo.

     In principiu, crema mi-a placut pentru ca face ce promite, dar nu pot sa-mi explic de ce face “scamitele” alea. Eu a trebuit sa renunt la ea, in primul rand pentru ca a venit caldura si tenul a devenit mixt / gras, iar apoi pentru ca nu suport “scamitele”. Asa ca momentan zace in dulap, asteptand… Nici eu nu stiu ce asteapta, s-o “marit” poate.

     Mirosul este unul foarte placut – asemanator cu cel al cremelor pe care le foloseau mamele noastre cand eram mici, iar consistenta este ca a unei maioneze.

     “The makeup remover Hydra Confort is specially created for sensitive, dried and dehydrated skin. The skin is perfectly cleaned, soothed and hydrated, softer and tighter”.

     “LAPTELE DEMACHIANT Hydra Confort este special creat pentru tenul deshidratat, uscat şi sensibil. Pielea este perfect curatata, calmata si hidratata, mai ferma si mai moale.”

     My opinion / Parerea mea:

     I bought this products for three reasons: I ran out of my Nivea makeup remover and needed a new one, the one from Nivea wasn't up to my standards and I wanted to use a makeup remover from the same range as the facial cream. I don’t regret buying it, because it does everything it promises.

     Am cumparat acest demachiant din trei motive: cel de la Nivea se terminase si aveam nevoie de unul nou, cel de la Nivea nu ma satisfacuse pe deplin si am vrut sa folosesc un demachiant din aceeasi gama ca si crema de fata. Nu-mi pare deloc rau ca l-am cumparat, pentru ca face tot ce promite. 

     I need a small quantity of product and only two cotton pads to remove my facial makeup,  specifically the primer, foundation, powder, blush, bronzer and highlighter. It doesn’t leave any sticky residues on my face, like Nivea, the skin is softer, pretty hydrated and tighter.

     Este nevoie de o cantitate mica de produs si doar doua dischete demachiante pentru a-mi curata complet fata, in conditiile in trebuie sa “dau jos” primerul, fondul de ten, pudra, blushul, bronzerul si iluminatorul. Nu lasa pe ten nicio pelicula lipicioasa, asa cum mi s-a intamplat la Nivea, pielea este mult mai moale, destul de hidratata si ferma. 

     I like the smell, and another big plus is it’s “life span” – I finished mine after almost two months.

     The only thing I didn’t like about it is that it makes my eyes sting when I remove my eyeshadows and mascara. But that’s not really a problem, since I use an eyemakeup remover from Yves Rocher (review HERE).

     As you can see, I ran out of the L’Oreal makeup remover, so I have to buy another one, just that this time I’ll buy the one for oily skin.

     Mirosul este unul placut, iar produsul se consuma greu, tinand cont ca m-a tinut aproape doua luni.

     Un singur lucru nu mi-a placut la el: ma ustura ochii atunci cand il folosesc pentru a indeparta fardurile si rimelul. Insa problema este rezolvata, pentru ca folosesc demachiantul pentru ochi de la Yves Rocher (review AICI).

     Dupa cum vedeti, s-a si terminat, insa de data aceasta voi cumpara varianta pentru ten gras – daca se gaseste (inca n-am apucat sa caut).

Later Edit: 

     Regarding the cream: I wrote in this that, for the moment, it's "abandoned" in my drawer, which means I don't use it anymore. I tried it a few years ago, for several weeks, and I had the same result. Since I didn't like it them and I don't like it now, I think it's obvious that I'm not using it anymore, so I don't see the point in me testing it even more and my opinion about it won't change. I've tested long enough to know that it's not good for me. This is my opinion about the cream and it's not gonna change :).

     Am scris in postare, despre crema, ca "momentan zace in dulap", iar asta inseamna ca nu o mai folosesc. Am incercat acum cativa ani, timp de cateva saptamani, si am avut acelasi rezultat. Tinand cont ca nici atunci si nici acum nu mi-a  placut, este clar ca nu o voi mai folosi, asa ca nu am de ce s-o incerc mai mult decat am facut-o pana acum si nu am cum sa-mi schimb parerea despre ea. Am testat-o suficient timp cat sa stiu ca nu este buna pentru mine. Asta cred despre crema si nu-mi voi schimba parerea :).
