Swatch & Review - Sleek Showstoppers

     Hello, ladies.

     If you want a Sleek palette but you don’t know which one to buy, then this is the palette you should have. Ladies, today I have the pleasure to present you Showstoppers – the new limited edition Sleek creation.

     Why am I saying Showstoppers is perfect for you? Because it’s the “cream of the crop”, reuniting 12 eyeshadows of their most famous / beautiful Sleek palettes. A simphony of colors and textures.

     Daca va doriti o paleta Sleek, insa nu stiti pe care sa o cumparati, atunci aceasta este paleta ideala pentru voi. Doamnelor, astazi am placerea sa va prezint Showstoppers – noua creatie Sleek editie limitata.

     De ce spun ca Showstoppers e ideala pentru voi? Pentru ca este “crema” paletelor Sleek, renunind 12 farduri din cele mai faimoase / frumoase palete ale lor. O simfonie de culori si texturi.

 

     Showstoppers is one of my favourites palettes. The majority of Sleek palettes have mostly bright / neon eyeshadows, matte or shimmery, dark or neutrals etc. But this time Sleek managed to successfully combine various shades and textures. The palette has five matte eyeshadows, six shimmery / metallic eyeshadows and one sparkly eyeshadow.

     Showstoppers se numara printre preferatele mele. In majoritatea paletelor Sleek predomina fie culorile puternice / neon, fie mate sau sidefate, fie dark sau neutre s.a.m.d. De aceasta data, Sleek a reusit sa combine intr-un mod reusit atat texturi, cat si culori variate. Paleta are cinci farduri mate, sase farduri sidefate / metalizate si un fard cu sclipici.

     Regarding the name of the eyshadows, they ar supposed to be taken from previous iDivine palettes or at least that’s what I think. But there are certain… discrepancies, so to speak. Let’s take a look:

-         the Bohemian eyeshadow is found in the Oh So Special palette, not in the Bohemian one; also, you can’t find the Oh So Special eyeshadow in the palette with the same name, unless it’s Glitz in a matte version;

-         the Bad Girl eyeshadow doesn’t exist in the same palette, Sparkle actually belongs to the Glory palette and the Au Natural eyeshadow is actually from the Sparkle 2 palette;

-         the Sunset eyeshadow is not from the palette with the same name;

-         Noir eyeshadow is actually a dark metallic grey, while Graphite is actually the shimmery version of a matte eyeshadow from the Graphite palette; the same think applies to the Storm eyeshadow;

-         only Paraguaya and Me, Myself and Eye can be found in the palettes with the same name.

     In ceea ce priveste numele fardurilor, ele ar trebui sa fie denumite dupa celelalte palete iDivine, sau cel putin asa cred. Insa exista anumite… discrepante, sa le spun. Sa vedem despre ce este vorba:

-         fardul Bohemian nu se regaseste in paleta cu acelasi nume, ci in Oh So Special;

-         fardul Oh So Special nu il gasiti in respectiva paleta, doar daca nu cumva este Glitz in varianta mata;

-         fardul Bad Girl nu exista in paleta Bad Girl, Sparkle il gasiti de fapt in Glory, iar Au Natural nu exista in paleta cu acelasi nume, ci in Sparkle 2;

-         nici fardul Sunset nu exista in paleta Sunset;

-         fardul Noir este de fapt un gri metalizat foarte inchis, iar Graphite ar fi varianta shimmery a unui fard din paleta cu acelasi nume; acelasi lucru se aplica si fardului Storm;

-         doar Paraguaya si Me, Myself and Eye corespund paletelor.

     Pro’s:

-         a variety of colors and textures;

-         11 out of 12 eyeshadows are really pigmented;

-         the matte eyeshadows are creamy and very little dusty;

-         they last about 8 hours without primer and up to 14 hours with primer;

-         they blend really easy, especially the shimerry ones.

-         varietate de culori si texturi;

-         11 din 12 farduri sunt foarte pigmentate;

-         fardurile mate sunt cremoase si aproape deloc prafoase;

-         rezista circa 8 ore fara primer si pana la 14 ore cu primer;

-         se blenduiesc usor, mai ales cele sidefate.

     Con’s;

-         I don’t like the shimmery / metallic eyeshadows’ texture. I think Sleek changed their formula because, as I said when I reviewed Sparkle 2 (review HERE) and Lagoon (review HERE), they feel more waxy than creamy;

-         the two eyeshadows sponges – they bug me like hell, I find them useless and I can’t understand why the hell Sleek doesn’t replace them with an eyeshadow brush.

-         nu ma incanta textura fardurilor sidefate / metalizate. Am impresia ca Sleek a schimbat formula pentru ca, asa cum am zis si in cazul paletelor Sparkle 2 (review AICI) si Lagoon (review AICI), mi se pare ca sunt mai degraba cerate decat cremoase;

-         bureteii pentru aplicarea fardurilor – imi stau pe creier, sunt inutili si nu inteleg de ce naiba Sleek nu-i inlocuieste cu o pensula.
