Review - L’Oreal Infallible 24 H (L’Oreal Indefectible)

     Hello, ladies.

     It’s been a while since I last posted a foundation review and, since I have a mini-collection of foundations, I decided to tell you about each and every one of them.

     Today I will talk to you about L’Oreal Infallible 24 H, or L’Oreal Indefectible, how the germans have renamed it.

     I bought this product out of genuine curiosity: I’ve read positive and negative reviews, but since most of the bloggers kept praising the product, I wanted to see for myself how good is it… or not.

     A trecut destula vreme de cand am facut ultima oara un review unui fond de ten si, cum am reusit sa-mi formez o mini-colectie de fonduri de ten, am decis sa vi le prezint pe rand.

     Astazi va voi vorbi despre L’Oreal Infallible 24 H, sau L’Oreal Indefectible, cum l-au redenumit nemtii.

     Am cumparat acest produs din pura curiozitate: am citit atat review-uri pozitive, cat si negative, dar dupa ce-am vazut ca majoritatea bloggeritelor il lauda, am vrut sa ma conving pe pielea mea cat este de bun… sau nu. Eu am varianta pentru ten normal / gras, nuanta 145 Beige Rose.

     I was supposed to write here the official description of the product, but I won’t do that mainly because it promises the same things as most of the foundation: high coverage, natural finish, 24 H resistence (that’s a rather new thing), mattifying etc. Oh, it seems this one prevents imprefections and dark circles.

     Of all that, I agree with one thing: high coverage. The rest is pure advertising. But let me let you what I like and what I don’t like at this foundation.

     Aici ar fi trebuit sa pun descrierea oficiala a produsului, insa n-o sa mai fac asta pentru ca promite aceleasi lucruri ca majoritatea fondurilor de ten: acoperire mare, aspect natural, rezistenta timp de 24 de ore (asta e o chestie relativ noua), matifiere etc. Se pare ca asta mai previne aparitia imprefectiunilor si a cearcanelor.

     Din toate astea, sunt de acord cu un singur lucru: acoperirea mare. In rest, reclama cat curpinde. Dar sa detaliez si sa va spun ce-mi place si ce nu-mi place la acest fond de ten.

     In the summer time, I have combination skin: oily T-Zone and dry skin on my cheeks and part of my forhead, so I expected to have a matte complexion not 24 H (as it promises), but at least 8 H. No way in hell: after 4 hours of walking on the street (at 20 degrees Celsiu, not 35), walking through stores and trying on clothes, my face was terribly shining. And that despite the fact that I used face cream, face primer and powder – all for oily skin.

     Vara am tenul mixt: gras in zona T si uscat pe obraji si pe o parte din frunte, asa ca ma asteptam sa imi mentina tenul mat timp de cel putin 8 ore, nu 24 cum promite. Nici gand de-asa ceva: dupa vreo 4 ore de mers pe strada (la 20 de grade Celsius, nu 35), prin magazine si probat haine, fata imi lucea groaznic. Asta in ciuda faptului ca am folosit crema de fata, primer si pudra – toate destinate tenului gras. 

     The product is no better when it comes to resistence: my hubby kissed me on my cheek and all the foundation went from my face on his lips.

     Natural finish: NONE. I applies the foundation with it’s own brush, with a sponge, my fingers, a normal foundation brush and with a stippling brush. I had the same result: it has a cakey finish, a mask effect you could see from the moon that I’m wearing foundation and it highlights the dry pathces on my skin.

     At least it has a high coverage: “bye-bye” zits, red spots, dark circles and pores, but I feel like it doesn’t let my skin breath.

     It certainly doesn’t prevent imperfections and dark circles, on the contrary. Because it clogs my pores and doesn’t let my skin breath, after a 3-4 days of use a few zits appeared on my skin.

     Nici la capitolul rezistenta nu sta prea bine: al meu sot m-a pupat pe obraz si ne-am trezit ca fondul de ten (cu tot cu pudra) s-a transferat de pe fata mea pe buzele lui.

     Aspect natural: ZERO. Am intins fondul de ten atat cu pensula cu care este dotat, cat si cu buretelul, degetele, pensula plata pentru fond de ten si pensula stipple. Am avut acelasi rezultat: aspect fainos, efect de masca, se vede din avion ca il port  pe fata si evidentiaza zonele uscate de pe ten.

     Macar la capitolul acoperire sta bine: “la revedere” cosuri, pete rosii de pe ten, cearcane si pori, insa simt, totusi, ca-mi “asfixiaza” pielea.

     In niciun caz nu previne aparitia imperfectiunilor pe ten si nici a cearcanelor. Dimpotriva, pentru ca astupa porii si nu lasa pielea sa respire, mi-au aparut cateva cosuri dupa ce l-am folosit de cateva ori. 

     Another negative aspect is the brush it comes with: it’s to wide and it doesn’t fit in tight places, so I have to use another concelear brush or my fingers to blend the product properly. Besides, it’s pretty hard to wash it and I don’t think it’s hygienic to have a foundation brush “on top” of a foundation. If you have to do the makeup for 3-4 persons at once, with the same skin colour, you have to buy foundations for each and every one? You could put some foundations on your hand, but then why would it have a brush?

     Un alt minus mi se pare si pensula din dotare: este prea lata, asa ca intra destul de greu in locuri inguste si nu aplica perfect fondul de ten, asa ca ma ajut de o pensula pentru anticearcan sau de degete pentru a intinde bine produsul. De asemenea, este destul de greu de spalat si mi se pare deloc igienic sa ai o pensula “infipta” in varful unui fond de ten. Daca trebuie sa machiezi mai multe persoane odata, cu aceeasi culoare a pielii, ce faci, cumperi fonduri de ten pentru fiecare in parte? Ai putea sa pui fondul de ten pe mana ta, dar pana la urma care mai e rolul pensulei?

     Another thing that I don’t like about it is that you can’t get a proper dose of product: one “click” isn’t enough to get some foundation on the brush. You need to “click” at least 3-4 times, but then it’ll come out to much product at once.

     Alt lucru care nu-mi place este ca se dozeaza greu: o singura “rotire” nu este suficienta pentru ca fondul de ten sa iasa la “suprafata”. Este nevoie de rotesti de cel putin 3-4 ori, insa atunci va tasni prea mult produs dintr-odata.

     And here we have the last downside: the price. It costs 15-16 euros, an enormous price for what it can, or better said, it can’t do: zero rezistance, cakey finish, clogs the pores, it doesn’t mattify, you can’t get a proper amount of product and the brush isn’t hygienic. I know a lot of better and cheaper products than this one. 

     Si ajungem la ultima bila neagra: pretul. Costa circa 15-16 euro, un pret enorm pentru ce stie, sau mai bine zis, pentru ce nu stie sa faca: rezistenta zero, efect de masca, nu lasa pielea sa respire, nu matifiaza, e greu de dozat si pensula nu este igienica. Stiu multe alte produse la acelasi pret, dar mult mai bune.

     I didn’t like this foundation at all and certainly I won’t buy it a second time. It’s best to use this foundation only for photoshoots, to wear it 2-3 hours and to be able to do a touch-up every 5 seconds.

     Mie, personal, nu mi-a placut, si nici nu-l voi mai cumpara a doua oara. Este un fond de ten potrivit doar pentru sedinte foto, sa il porti 2-3 ore si sa-l poti retusa la fiecare cinci secunde. 

     Am folosit acest fond de ten AICI.
