Swatch & Review - KIKO Color Fever Eyeshadow Palettes (02 + 07) and Ultra Glossy Stylo (804 + 813)

      Hello, ladies.

     You already know that I’m a big fan of KIKO nail polishes, therefore I thought about trying other products, especially since KIKO had some sales recently. After I looked around the shop and swatched a lot of products, I finally bought two quads and two lipsticks.

     These are the beauties.

     Stiti deja ca sunt mare fan al ojelor KIKO, drept urmare m-am gandit sa incerc si alte produse, mai ales ca au fost reduceri de curand. Dupa ce-am dat o tura prin magazin si-am swatch-uit o multime de produse, am cumparat, intr-un final, doua quad-uri si doua rujuri.

     Iata frumusetile.

     The palettes / Paletele:

     The two palettes are “02 Luxurious Gold and Plum” and “07 Posh Burgundy”, each one with four eyeshadows.

     The package is made of plastic, the front being holographic and having the company’s logo, the palette’s collection, type of product and the quantity. On the back it has a few informations about the eyeshadows. Also, on the box you cand find the palette’s name and the ingredients.

     The palette comes with a grey small bag, which protects it from scratches, dust, etc. The packaging is really simple, it has a grey color and it has the brand’s logo, a few infos about the eyeshadows and the quantity. Personally I find the packaging really chic. Inside the palette you’ll find a small mirror.

     Cele doua palete sunt “02 Luxurious Gold and Plum” si “07 Posh Burgundy”, ambele avand catre patru farduri.

     Cutia este din plastic, fata fiind holografica si avand sigla companiei, colectia din care face parte paleta, tipul produsului si gramajul. Pe verso se afla cateva informatii despre farduri. Tot pe cutie gasiti numele paletei si ingredientele.

     Paleta vine insotita de un saculet gri, care o protejeaza de zgarieturi, praf etc. Ambalajul este foarte simplu, de culoare gri, avand inscriptionat pe fata doar sigla brand-ului, iar pe spate cateva informatii despre farduri si gramajul. Personal, ambalajul mi se pare foarte chic. In interiorul paletei veti gasi si o oglinda micuta.

     “02 Luxurious Gold and Plum” has a gold eyeshadow with a slight rose undertone, a green-olive eyeshadow with a golden undertone, a dark purple eyeshadow and a black eyeshadow with a delicate sparkle. The first two have a pearly finish, while the last two have a matte finish.

     “07 Posh Burgundy” has a purple eyeshadow, a chocolate brown eyeshadow, a pink sparkly eyeshadow and a peachy-pink with a slight golden shimmer. The chocolate brown and peachy-pink eyeshadows have a pearly finish, more intense to the second one. The purple eyeshadow has a matte finish, but you can still see the sparkling particles, and the pink eyeshadows has a shimmery finish.

     “02 Luxurious Gold and Plum” contine un fard auriu cu un usor subton rose, un fard verde-oliv cu subton auriu, un fard mov inchis si unul negru cu sclipici discret. Primele doua au finish perlat, ultimele doua mat.

     “07 Posh Burgundy” contine un fard mov, unul maro ciocolatiu, un fard roz cu sclipici si un fard roz-piersica cu un usor shimmer auriu. Fardurile maro si roz-piersica au finish perlat, mai pronuntat fiind la cel de-al doilea. Fardul mov are finish mat, insa se pot vedea particulele de sclipici, iar fardul roz are finish “sclipicios”.

     The eyeshadows are creamy, they blend really easy and, as you’ll see in the swatches, really pigmented. KIKO says that the eyeshadows become more intense if applied wet. I haven’t try it yet, but when I will I’ll show you the result.

     Let’s go back a little bit to the pigmentation part. When swatched, the eyeshadows seem really pigmented, but applied on my skin they look different. I used the “Posh and Burgundy” palette  to do a look and I noticed with dissapointment that the eyeshadows are not so pigmented as I thought. The pink and the peachy-pink are really pale, the purple and the chocolate brown are much less intense when you blend them. You’ll see what I’m talking about in tomorrow’s post, when I’ll show you the look.

     Fardurile sunt cremoase, foarte usor de blenduit si, dupa cum arata swatch-urile, foarte pigmentate. Cei de la KIKO spun ca fardurile devin si mai intense daca sunt aplicate umede. Inca n-am incercat asta, insa dupa ce o voi face va voi arata rezultatul.

     Revin putin la partea cu pigmentatia. Cand sunt swatch-uite, fardurile par foarte pigmentate, insa aplicate pe pielea mea situatia se schimba putin. Am folosit paleta “Posh Burgundy” pentru un machiaj si am observat cu dezamagire ca fardurile nu mai sunt atat de pigmentate. Rozul si “piersica” sunt foarte pale, iar movul si maro-ul palesc mult atunci cand sunt blenduite. Veti vedea despre ce vorbesc in postarea de maine, cand va voi arata machiajul.

     The lipsticks / Rujurile:

     Initially I wanted to buy some Smart Lipstick lipsticks, but they weren't on stock so I ended up buying two Ultra Glossy Stylo. The shades I picked are “804 Pearly Watermelon” and “813 Apple Blossoms”.

     The packaging is matte black, having written the company’s logo and the lipsticks’ numbers.

     Initial am vrut sa cumpar niste rujuri Smart Lipstick, insa nu erau pe stoc asa ca m-am reorientat catre Ultra Glossy Stylo. Nuantele alese de mine sunt “804 Pearly Watermelon” si “813 Apple Blossoms”.

     Ambalajul este negru mat, simplu, avand inscriptionat doar numarul rujurilor si sigla brand-ului. 

     The lipsticks are pigmented, really creamy, hydrating and with a shiny, glossy finish.

     “804 Pearly Watermelon” is exactly how it’s name says: it has the color of watermelon, it’s slightly sheer and it has small sprakling particles. It’s a pale shade of orangy-red.

     “813 Apple Blossoms” it’s an opaque lipstick. It’s a dusty mauve-rose shade. I love that its shade is changing depending on the lip pencil you’re using, becoming pink-ish, mauve or nude-ish.

     Rujurile sunt pigmentate, foarte cremoase, hidratante si cu finish stralucitor, glossy.

     “804 Pearly Watermelon” este exact cum il descrie numele: are culoarea pepenelui rosu, este usor sheer si contine particule mici de sclipici. Este o nuanta pala de rosu-portocaliu.

     “813 Apple Blossoms” este o un ruj opac. Are o nuanta de mov-rose prafuit. Imi place ca-si schimba nuanta in functie de creionul de buze peste care il folosesti, avand tenta roz, mov sau usor nude.
