Swatch & Review - Sleek Respect, Supreme and Sparkle 2

     Hello, ladies.

     I finally got my St. Nicholas present: Sleek Shangri-La Collection Supreme and Respect and Sleek Sparkle 2 Limited Edition. You can’t imagine how much I wanted them and how happy I was when I got the three palettes. But, if last night I only admired them, today I took some pictures and I swatched / try them.

     Therefore, today I’ll talk to you about Supreme, Respect and Sparkle 2. I must say that the eyeshadows are swatched directly onto the skin, without any eyeshadow base.

 

    In sfarsit mi-am primit cadoul de Sf Nicolae, si anume noile palete Sleek: Sleek Shangri-La Collection Supreme si Respect si Sleek Sparkle 2 Limited Edition. Nu va puteti inchipui cu cata nerabdare le-am asteptat si cum topaiam de bucurie prin casa cand am desfacut coletul aseara. Dar, daca aseara m-am limitat doar la a le privi, astazi le-am pozat si imediat dupa mi-am bagat degetele in ele pentru a face swatch-uri si a vedea cum se comporta.

     Drept urmare, astazi va voi prezenta Supreme, Respect si Sparkle 2. Trebuie sa adaug ca toate swatch-urile sunt facute direct pe piele, fara niciun fel de baza.

     It was love at first sight and, although I ordered as soon as they became available, I must say I was a little worried they will dissapoint me. Why? Honestly, I expected that some of the eyeshadows from Supreme, but especially Respect wouldn’t be so pigmented, like it happened with the grey form Glory or the white from Acid. Fortunately, the palettes are better than I expected.

     M-am indragostit de ele la prima vedere si, desi mi le-am comandat de cum au fost disponibile, trebuie sa spun ca mi-a fost putin teama sa nu ma dezamageasca. De ce dezamagire? Sa fiu sincera, ma asteptam ca unele farduri din Respect, dar mai ales Supremet sa fie foarte slab pigmentate. Eram pregatita moral ca nuantele de gri, crem sau alb sa fie aproape invizibile, asa cum s-a intamplat cu gri-ul din Glory sau albul din Acid. Din fericire, paletele mi-au intrecut orice asteptari si m-au surprins mai mult decat placut.

     Asadar, sa trecem la review. 

                          Sleek Shangri-La Respect

     The palette has 12 warm toned eyeshadows.

     Some of the eyeshadows are nude, perfect for a daytime makeup or a soft smokey eye look - Gladys White, James Brown, Shalamar, Count Basi Beige, Cameo Cream and Motown Mink.

     Four of the eyeshadows are coraly-orange: Aretha Orange, Otis Red, O’Jays and New Jack Pink.

     Finally, there two eyehsadows left, a black and a dark red burgundy - - Roberta Black and Vandellas.

     Paleta Respect are 12 pastilute cu farduri in nuante calde, unele nude, altele intense.

     O parte din farduri sunt nude, ideale pentru un machiaj de zi cuminte sau un smokey eye soft – Gladys White, James Brown, Shalamar, Count Basi Beige, Cameo Cream si Motown Mink.

     Patru dintre farduri au nuante de corai-portocaliu: Aretha Orange, Otis Red, O’Jays si New Jack Pink.

     In final, mai raman doua farduri, un negru si un rosu burgundy inchis (cel putin asa il vad) - Roberta Black si Vandellas.

     Most of the eyeshadows are matte, James Brown and Aretha Franklin are pearly, Otis Red is slightly pearly and O’Jays is metallic. All the eyeshadows have a creamy texture, very little chalky, they blend easy and they’re very pigmented. Although some of the nude eyeshadows don’t seem so intense, that’s because they very similar to my skin tone.

     Majoritatea pastilutelor sunt mate, James Brown si Aretha Orange sunt sidefate, Otis Red este usor perlat, iar O’Jays are finish metalic. Toate fardurile sunt cremoase, foarte putin prafoase, se amesteca usor si sunt foarte pigmentate. Desi unele farduri nude nu par atat de intense, asa este pentru ca sunt foarte apropiate de nuanta pielii mele, dar credeti-ma ca sunt pigmentate.

                                    Sleek Shangri-La Supreme

     The palette has 12 cool toned eyeshadows, suitable for autumn, but especially for winter time. Honestly, I will use them in the summer time too, because Black Suede, Grand Master Flash or Commodores Cream remind me of clear water and golden sands.

     Paleta are 12 pastilute cu farduri in nuante reci, potrivite pentru toamna, dar mai ales iarna. Sincer, eu le-as folosi si vara, pentru ca Black Suede, Grand Master Flash sau Commodores Cream imi aduc aminte de ape limpezi si nisip auriu. 

      Supreme has four shades of blue / mint: Blue Suede, R&B, La Belle Blue and Commodores Cream.

P-Funk and Al Green are green, Bronx Black is a brown-ish taupe, Smokey Robinson is grey, Grand Master Flash is a pale mustard, iar Delfonic seems like a light taupe. Shangrilas Lemon is a shade of cream, and Wah Wah White is white.

     Supreme are patru nuante de albastru / mint: Blue Suede, R&B, La Belle Blue si Commodores Cream.

P-Funk si Al Green au doua nuante de verde, iar Bronx Black este un taupe-maroniu. Smokey Robinson este gri, Grand Master Flash este o nuanta de mustar-pal, iar Delfonic pare a fi un taupe deschis. Shangrilas Lemon are o nuante de crem, iar Wah Wah White este alb. 

     All the eyeshadows are matte, except for Wah Wah White – a shimmery metallic white. Like Respect, all the eyeshadows are pigmented, creamy, very little chalky and they blend easy.

     Toate fardurile sunt mate, exceptie facand Wah Wah White – un alb metalic lucios. Ca si Respect, toate fardurile sunt pigmentate, cremoase, foarte putin prafoase si se amesteca usor.

                                Sleek Sparkle 2

     Again a 12 eyeshadows palette, but this time these are suitable for Christmas, New Year’s Eve, a party or a fantasy makeup.

     Sparkle 2 are, din nou, 12 farduri, insa de aceasta data potrivite doar pentru Craciun, Revelion, petreceri si / sau machiaje fantezie. Sa vedem despre ce este vorba.

     We have two greens – Blue Spruce and Mistletoe, some shades of copper / gold / chocolate – Chocolate Penny, Truffle and Gold Ribbon, a golden-red – Mulled Wine, some shades of purple / burgundy – Illusion and Festive, two shades of grey – Glitz&Glamour and Tinsel, a blue – Twinkle and a black – Starry Night.

 

     Avem nuante de verde – Blue Spruce si Mistletoe, nuante de cupru / auriu / ciocolatiu – Chocolate Penny, Truffle si Gold Ribbon, un rosu-auriu – Mulled Wine, nuante de mov / visiniu – Illusion si Festive, doua griuri – Glitz&Glamour si Tinsel, un albastru – Twinkle si un negru – Starry Night. 

     Eight of the eyeshadows are glittery – Blue Spruce, Mulled Wine, Mistletoe, Illusion, Festive, Glitz&Glamour, Twinkle and Starry Night. Two of them are metallic – Chocolate Penny and Tinsel, and the last two are pearly – Truffle and Gold Ribbon.

     As you’ll see, all the eyeshadows are pigmented.

     Din cele 12 farduri, opt dintre ele au sclipici si anume: Blue Spruce, Mulled Wine, Mistletoe, Illusion, Festive, Glitz&Glamour, Twinkle si Starry Night. Doua sunt metalice – Chocolate Penny si Tinsel, iar ultimele doua – Truffle si Gold Ribbon – sunt sidefate.

     Dupa cum veti vedea in poze, toate fardurile sunt foarte pigmentate. 

     I can say that this palette is a little bit different comparing with other Sleeks. The eyeshadows have a rather waxy than creamy texture, especially Twinkle.

     Regarding the glittery eyeshadows, while doing the swatches I noticed that the glitter doesn’t transfer so well from the finger onto the skin, but I hope they’ll behave better when I’ll apply them with a brush.

     I can’t say how well they blend since I haven’t had the chance to do a mekup using them, but I’ll let you know once I use them. What I really liked about them is that they’re not dusty. 

     Pot spune ca Sparkle 2 este destul de diferita de restul Sleek-urilor. Fardurile nu au o textura atat de cremoasa cat mai degraba cerata, cel mai pregnant simtindu-se la Twinkle. In ceea ce priveste fardurile cu sclipici, am observat ca sclipiciul nu s-a transferat atat de bine de pe deget pe piele cand am facut swatch-urile, insa sper sa se comporte altfel atunci cand le voi aplica cu pensula.

     Nu stiu sa va spun cat de bine se blenduiesc pentru ca nu am apucat sa le folosesc la vreun machiaj, insa voi reveni cu detalii dupa prima utilizare. Insa ce mi-a placut mult la ele este ca nu sunt prafoase. Lasa un mic “reziduu”, insa este insesizabil.

     Overall, I like these palettes, each and everyone of them has added some new shades to my eyeshadows collection. What do you think, do you like these palettes?

     Per total, imi plac toate cele trei palete, fiecare dintre ele are culori care nu s-au regasit pana acum in colectia mea si au meritat fiecare banut dat. Voi ce spuneti, va plac paletele?

     P.S.: Toate cele trei palete sunt disponibile pe Makeup Shop, insa va sfatuiesc sa va grabiti pentru ca se vand ca painea calda. Respect o gasiti AICI, Supreme este disponibila AICI, iar Sparkle 2 poate fi cumparata de AICI.
